A salt glow (also known as a salt scrub or sea salt scrub) is one of the most popular body treatments at a spa. The main purpose of a salt glow is to exfoliate and moisturize your skin. This process is accomplished by combining sea salt with a carrier oil and usually some essential oils. At Alternatives in Health Care Detox Therapy Spa, we love steam and hot towels! (They are used throughout this whole heavenly treatment.) Whichever salt and oil mixture we choose will be massaged onto your body allowing the dry dead surface skin cells to be sloughed off and the new healthy cells to be revealed and pampered. Hot towels will be used to remove the debris and your newly radiant skin will be slathered with one of our luxuriant moisturizing creams will be applied.
