Galvanic current along with a massaging action helps focus cellular energy and enhance circulation. Ok, what is galvanic current? Galvanic current is a mild, harmess electrical current that stimulates cellular activity when used in a facial application.The galvanic current unit that we use is the latest in state of the art technolgy. A hand held unit which contains a sensitive microchip emits a continuous pulse of minute electric current. The sensors in the machine detect how much moisture is in your skin and adjusts the electric current to those levels. Gone are the days of the technician having to ask if the current is to strong. You should not feel any current during your treatment.
The process has two cycles: a pre-treat cycle and a treatment cycle. Very specific treatment gels are used with each portion of this kind of session.
During the pre-treat cycle, the Galvanic instrument and the pre-treatment gel are negatively charged. These negative charges repel each other, driving the treatment gel deep into the skin. The treatment gel binds to the impurtites that are embedded in your skin.
The instrument is glided over your skin in specific patterns for a specified time period. When this first process is done, warm, soothing towels will be used to remove the initial product gel.
The second sequence starts with a positively charged treatment gel and setting of the apparatus. These positively charged forces repel each other helping to deliver the beneficial treatment gel ingredients deep into the skin.
The positively charged instrument attracts the remaining negatively charged impurities from the pre-treat cycle, drawing them out of the skin.
So, non technically speaking, the small electral charge opens up your pores and pushes the treatment gels into them on the way in, and the next cycle goes in and pulls the impurities out.
This produces deep cleansing, the slowing of skin aging before it starts and shows you immediate results in the look and feel of your skin.
With different heads to the machine we can target laugh lines, frown lines, fine lines around your eyes, sagging jowls and turkey neck!
With yet another head we can produce scalp treatments for stimulation of hair follicles. With a body toning gel we can concentrate on cellulite and lumpy skin.
