If you’ve never had a paraffin dip, you are in for a treat. At our spa they are done a little differently. First of all, you will be sitting in a massage chair the whole time. If you are getting “The Double Dip,” we will start by soaking your feet in warm water while we dip your hands into a warm, scented paraffin wax.
Once your hands have been dipped 5 times, we will then place them in a plastic bag and then into a pair of terry cloth mitts to retain the heat.
Then, we start to work on your feet. We will take your feet that have been soaking in nice warm water and do an exfoliating massage for about 15 minutes while your hands are absorbing the wax’s heat and moisturizing compounds. After your tootsies have been rubbed and scrubbed we will then apply the same waxing procedure that your hands received.
Once your feet are in their booties, we will remove the wax from your hands and then massage (15 mins.) an all natural, botanical lotion to make them silky soft.
Now back to your feet. Apply the lotion and feel the aches drain from your hands and feet . You’ll be as soft as you can be once we are done. Oh yeah, while all of this is happening you will be in a dimly room, while a relaxing video and music plays from a flat screen TV! You can’t get all of this in your local hair or nail salon!
